Race three was a different affair altogether as Neil Flochart decided it was time for a win. He had not bargained on Ross Rutherford looking to make it a hat trick and the two of them put on a display of riding that was fantastic to watch as they fought out a mostly air Bourne battle .This went on for 5 laps till Rutherford using the lapped riders made his escape. It looked like the third race win was in the bag as Flockhart gave in to pressure from Craig and dropped to third.
Going into the last lap Rutherford’s bike stopped dead Tony Craig gratefully accepted the win with Flochart second and Graham Riley an excellent third.
The standard and closeness of the racing had the spectators running around trying to keep up with the action and the commentator almost going hoarse.
Roll on round three at Duns Motoparc on the 15th of June.
